John Beauclerk Quinlan, known affectionately as John or Beau to his friends and family, departed this earthly realm on the 16th of September, 2025, at the respectable age of 84. Born on the 2nd of December, 1940, in the vibrant city of Montreal, Canada, John's journey began as a bright spark in the lives of his parents, John Joseph Quinlan and Elizabeth Audrey Beauclerk. His final moments were spent peacefully at his home, surrounded by the warmth of his loving family and the loyal companionship of his faithful dog, Prince.
John's life was marked by a series of triumphs and loving relationships. He was the cherished husband of Michaela K Quinlan, and a guiding light to his stepchildren, Tracy and Bruce Magliocco. His sister Valerie Christie will hold dear the memories they shared. John's journey through life was one of continuous learning and growth, culminating in a Bachelor's degree in Science and Engineering from McGill University, in Canada. His professional path led him from an engineering role in Buffalo, New York, to a successful career in sales. His ability to mentor and elevate others was evident in his volunteer work, where he generously shared his wisdom with new recruits, helping them reach greater heights.
Known as Beau in his Canadian homeland, he maintained a close and enduring bond with his extended family there. His Catholic faith was the bedrock of his life, a source of strength and guidance. John's passion for horseback riding was a thread that ran through his life, leading him to cherished relationships and ultimately to the love of his life, Michaela. Their shared love of the outdoors, traveling, and family created an unbreakable bond, strengthened by their commitment to their faith and their rescue pets.
John's life was a testament to love, wisdom, and faith. He was a man who not only lived by Catholic values but also exemplified them in every action and interaction. His Catholicism alongside Michaela was a profound expression of his dedication to his beliefs. Church was not merely a place they attended, but a central part of their lives, where they found community, purpose, and solace.
As a motivational speaker, John would often say, "Our lives are like tapestries, woven with the threads of experiences, relationships, and faith. Each thread is crucial to the strength and beauty of the whole." His own tapestry was rich with the love he gave and received, the wisdom he imparted, and the faith that guided him. He encouraged others to live with intention, to embrace each day as a gift, and to leave a legacy of love and service.
Today, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey completed, and a soul that has undoubtedly been welcomed with open arms into the Kingdom of Heaven. John Beauclerk Quinlan was a beacon of light in this world, and his legacy will continue to illuminate the paths of those he touched. Though he has left our sight, his spirit remains an indelible part of us, inspiring courage, kindness, and an unwavering faith in the goodness of life.
John was survived by his wife, Michaela K. Quinlan. Stepdaugher Tracy Magliocco and his grandchildren Destyn and Jaedyn Rader. Stepson, Bruce Magliocco and granddaughter Tralyn Magliocco. Sister, Valerie Christie. Niece Susan Christie, and Steve Kamachi and their children Audrey, Kenji Kamachi. Nephew Bruce and his wife Tara Christie and their children, Isabel, Edward and Gwen.
