Cecil Allen Obituary

Cecil Anthony Allen, affectionately known as Tony, passed away on April 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of musical passion and cherished memories. Born on October 6, 1961, in Louisville, Kentucky, Tony's life was deeply intertwined with the rhythms and melodies that enriched his journey.

From an early age, Tony developed a profound love for music, leading him to a fulfilling role as an FM Disc Jockey for many years. His voice not only resonated through the airwaves but also touched the hearts of listeners who found connection and inspiration in his broadcasts. A talented musician, Tony showcased his virtuosity on both guitar and bass, performing in numerous bands throughout his life. His dedication to music and his craft was evident to all who knew him, as he poured his soul into every note he played.

Tony is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Allen, and their children: Kendre Allen, Leslie Hodges (Paul), Adam Hodges, and Alex Hodges (Cindy). He was a proud grandfather to Leo Drury and Camden, Autumn, and Amber Hodges. Tony is also survived by his sister, Shelia Jordan (Paul).

He joins in eternal rest his parents, Cecil Allen and Mary Ellis Allen, alongside his siblings, Janis Bassett, Butch Browder, and Sue Cunningham.

Tony's life was a true celebration of music and family. As we reflect on his journey, we are reminded of the joy he brought into our lives through his passion, creativity, and love.

His Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will follow after the Funeral Service until 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
