Charlene Bunn, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, at the age of 76.
Born on May 14, 1949, in Yankton South Dakota, Charlene was the eldest of eight children born to Heidi and Aelred Tramp. She grew up surrounded by the love and energy of a large family, a bond she cherished throughout her life.
Charlene married the love of her life, Stephen Bunn, on July 25, 1970. Their marriage was a beautiful example of enduring love and partnership, lasting 55 wonderful years.
After completing her early education, Charlene attended the National College of Business in Rapid City, South Dakota. It was there that she met a city slicker named Steve and the two began a journey together that would span decades.
Charlene may be best remembered for her work as a Home Interiors sales associate, where her warmth and charisma earned her the title of "Queen of Utah" for top sales in the state on several occasions. This career not only brought her professional success but also gave her the flexibility to be home for her children and the opportunity to make lifelong friendships with clients and colleagues alike.
Later in life, she joined the IRS, where she again built lasting relationships and found fulfillment in her work before retiring.
Charlene found her greatest joy in being surrounded by her family-especially her grandchildren. Whether it was a game, concert, play, or school event, she never missed a chance to show her love and support. Her presence lit up every room, and her infectious laughter and kind spirit made everyone feel welcome and valued.
She was known for her thoughtfulness, her boundless compassion, and her special ability to make people feel seen and included. Charlene left a lasting impression on everyone she met and often kept her children on their toes with her unique sense of humor and flair for the unexpected.
Charlene is survived by her devoted husband, Stephen Bunn; her sons, Chris, Brian, and Robbie; Daughter in laws Jenni (Chris), Tonya (Brian) and Rachel (Rob) grandchildren, Alexandria and husband JT, Logan and wife Rhiannon, Jackson, Parker, Oliver, Abbigail, Charlie, and Andrew; and her great-grandchildren, Tage, Archer, and Myles. She is also survived by her siblings Loran, Marlyn, Myron, Carol, Bonnie, Theresa, and Mark.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Heidi and Aelred Tramp, and her sister-in-law, Kathy Tramp.
Charlene's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
