Charles Arthur Bloomfield, age 82, of Erie, formerly of York and Allentown, PA., passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 after a battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born in Altoona, PA on August 26, 1941, son of the late Harold and Laura Hunt Bloomfield.

Charles was a graduate of Altoona Senior High School, class of 1959. He also graduated from Penn State University. He earned two Master's degrees from Millersville University and Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary. Charles was a teacher and then principal at Christian School of York, then later served as principal for Bethel Christian School of Erie and Lehigh Valley Christian High School. He was an accomplished organist and pianist playing at various churches. He served as an Elder and Bible Teacher at the churches he attended. Charles served in the US. Navy where his duties took him overseas. In his younger years he was an Eagle Scout.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Eunice Carolyn Cruse Bloomfield; two children, Karen Bloomfield Catalde and Kevin Bloomfield; and two grandchildren, Vincent Catalde and Shannon Catalde. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Bloomfield.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Wednesday from 3 pm until the time of the Funeral Service there at 7 pm. Private interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery and Gardens. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association - Greater PA Chapter, 2595 Interstate Dr., Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
