Charles D Holland

Charles Donald "Chuck" Holland, age 79, of Macomb, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025. Born on January 10, 1946, in Sparta, Tennessee, Chuck was the beloved son of Charles Monroe Holland and Dolly D. Steele. He grew up in Roseville, Michigan, graduating from Roseville High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1967–1968. Chuck was the devoted husband of Nancy Jeane Holland (Byram) for 57 wonderful years. He was a loving father to Michelle (preceded in death), James (Lori), Sean (Rachel), Charles "Dan" (Cherie), and Robert (Carrie). He was a proud grandfather to Tyler, Brena, Austin, Gavin, Ethan, Brady, and Adam, and great-grandfather to Laurelin London. A man of many passions, Chuck loved the outdoors and spent countless weekends camping with Nancy at their favorite place, Sutters Recreation. He especially loved relaxing on the custom swing he built himself. Chuck shared many happy memories around the campfire, playing guitar in his younger years and later entertaining family and friends with his karaoke performances. He also enjoyed hunting trips with his sons and grandsons, a tradition that brought them closer together. Chuck's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Michigan Veteran's Home in Chesterfield, Michigan, for the outstanding care, compassion, and kindness shown to him during his stay. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wasik Funeral Home, 35259 23 Mile Road, New Baltimore, MI 48047. A service in Chuck's honor will begin at 6:00 PM.
