Charles Thomas Isaacs (Tom), 80, peacefully transitioned on December 23, 2024, in Louisville, KY. He was born on October 8, 1944, to Thomas and Lavonne Isaacs (nee' McDonald). He graduated from Atherton High School and continued his academic and athletic pursuits at Centre College where he stared in both track and football.
After graduation Tom proudly and courageously entered and served in the United States Marine Corp as a 1st Lieutenant Infantry Officer. He dedicated seven years, five of which he was actively deployed, to military service during the Vietnam War. He served with distinction and was awarded several medals including the Purple Heart.
Tom became well known in his local community, Prospect, as a certified Reflexologist for over thirty years. He developed the website, "LivingpHure" exemplifying his vision to provide health, well-being, and ionized water nutrition. He shared his talents with both children and adults performing Crystal Bowl Meditation Services. Spiritually, great comfort was found in nature and he earned his ministry in order to officiate his friend's marriage. His expertise, compassion, and healing hands earned him a reputation among clients and colleagues. He will be greatly missed and thankful to all those he touched, supported, and comforted.
Tom enjoyed the outdoors and visits to Waynesville, NC. He completed several marathons and was an avid bicyclist. He worked early on fishing boats in the Florida Keys and Maine. His passion for football led him to the Louisville Rugby Club as one of the eldest members to travel and compete against Ireland's National Team. In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his sister, Candy Saunders, (Bill) and nephew, Jason Isaacs.
Tom is survived by his brother, Don Isaacs, (Marynell), special companion of twenty years, Corry Kessel, his cherished friends and caregivers, Thomas and Jennifer Calvert and Family (Ean,Declan,Kaeden, who shared their home for Tom's final journey), nieces, Elizabeth Turner (Chris), Lauren Smith (Chris), and nephews Nick Isaacs and Ted Saunders. Great nieces and nephews: CJ, Abby, Molly Turner, Clover Isaacs, Willow and Ronin Renton, and Everett and Fern Smith.
Special gratitude to all his family, friends, community, VA Hospital Staff, Ratterman Funeral Services/Buechel, Hosparus, for your kindness and support to Tom. Tom requested and "unconventional" memorial and celebration of life. A celebration of Life to be held at a later date and for detailed information please contact us at [email protected]. A graveside service will be private. Contributions in Tom's honor can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project Or Home of the Innocents.

I first met Tom at Candy's funeral. She was my dearly beloved, never to be forgotten, closest friend of 50+ years, and he was her oldest brother. I got to know him just a bit, perhaps because he was kind of a quiet guy, and mostly stood apart from the other guests, but when I approached him, wanting to get to know this brother, we did have a good conversation together. He told a couple of stories, one a rather funny one, I thought, about Candy, and we laughed together. I knew well how precious he was to her. I tried to keep in touch with holiday cards, but never heard from him again. Candy Foster

My best buddy´s big brother was so cool. We admired Tom always. Reading his accomplishments increased my respect for Tom. What a remarkable human being I never knew his dad but adored his Mom & sister. Blessings for his safe relocation

I had major surgery in 2010. Tom came to my home for a reflexology treatment to help my healing. He had the most incredible hands and great compassion.
