When he returned home, he worked at Firch Baking Company and then applied for a job at the Edinboro Borough Police Department. He completed his training at the PA State Police Training School in Meadville and began his career in the Borough of Edinboro Police Department where he served from June 1975 until retirement in 2001. He traded that uniform in for the uniform as a deputy sheriff at the Erie County Courthouse from 2001 until 2019. We spent thousands of hours chasing trains along with our 3rd amigo, Carl Amidon. However, for me the absolute best time was our first trip to Chicago. We were like little kids visiting a toy store for the 1st time in our lives. We saw so much that we couldn't absorb it all but we had a great time together.

To Pat and all the family: So sorry to hear of Chuck´s passing. He was a special guy. He rode on the fender of the tractor I borrowed to brush hog my property when I built my house and was worried about his hair the whole time. Just one of many memories I have of Chuck. RIP my friend.
