Charles "Charlie" West, age 81, of Chambersburg, PA, went to be with the Lord on December 10, 2021.
Born on November 27, 1940 in Chambersburg, PA he was the son of the late Howard West and Caroline West. He married his wife, Ethel (Stumbaugh) West, on February 10, 1962. Together they raised two children; Greg (Lyn) West, of Chambersburg, PA, and Diane (Jeff) Dwyer of Overland Park, KS.
Charlie was the owner and president of A-1 Motors, Inc. He was a member and Past Master of the George Washington Lodge 143 F&AM. He served on the board of directors of M&T Bank. He attended King Street Church where he served. He was devoted to his family and was a friend to many.
In addition to his children, Charlie is survived by four grandchildren; Derek (Mary) West, Lauren (Collin) Whipple, Cole Sherwood and Liam Sherwood, and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Margie Jenkins; and his brother, Ray (Ruth) West. He is preceded in death by his sister, Shirley West.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at King Street Church, 162 E. King Street, Chambersburg, PA. Visitation will be available from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the church. The funeral service will be available online at kingstreetchurch.com/funeral starting at 1:00 PM. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
