Charlotte Ficker, 87, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at the Terrace at Solarbron.
Charlotte was born on October 15, 1936 in Evansville, Indiana to Arch and Marguerite (Craig) Nelson. She was a graduate of Central High School and graduated from Lockyear Business College with an Associates Degree. Charlotte worked in the cafeteria for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation. She was a member of Corpus Christi Church, the VFW #114 Auxiliary and the R.S.V.P. Group.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Mindy (Randy) Moats; five grandchildren, Natalie, and Nate Hostettler, Joshua (Paige) Hostettler, Loren (Thomas) Poole and Nathan Moats.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James B. Ficker, in 2001 and son, David Ficker in 2021.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 West Franklin Street, Deacon Tom Goebel officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. Monday until service time at Pierre Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for the kind and considerate care of Charlotte.

I met Charlotte at SWIRCA. We would exercise, play cards and have lunch and play more cards. Then we formed a Red Hats Society group. I enjoyed her friendship. Prayers and sympathy on your loss. She will be missed. Linda L Brown
