Charlotte LaDuke Raines, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on November 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 12, 1950, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Charlotte was a woman whose life was marked by compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion and admiration for those she loved. She attended Red Bank High School and later married the love of her life, Richard (Rick) F. Raines, Sr. Together, they shared 58 years of marriage. Charlotte was instrumental in supporting Rick with Raines & Sons Construction, serving as his steady foundation and trusted source of guidance throughout the years.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her beloved son, Jaime Dion Raines; her parents, James and Doris LaDuke; her sister, Trisha Smith; and her granddaughters, Whitney and Britney.

She is survived by her husband, Rick; her sons, Ricky Raines and wife Franci, Shane Raines, and Justin Raines and wife Abbie; her daughter, Shannon Hatfield, who dedicated the last two years as her primary caregiver in her home; and Chasity Raines, beloved wife of her late son Jaime. Charlotte is also survived by her brothers, James (Bubber) and Vernon; and her sisters, Sheila (Bitsy) and Deborah.

Charlotte was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother-"MaMaw"-blessed with a large and loving family. Her grandchildren include Little Shane, Hayli, Makenli, Alison, Alexis, Autumn, Amber, Briston, Lexie, Brooke, and Duke. She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren, with more on the way in 2026. She is additionally survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family members who cherished her deeply.

Dementia is a cruel disease that took Charlotte from us too soon, but she fought with a strength and grace that inspired everyone around her. Charlotte will be remembered for her warm heart, her quiet strength, and her ability to make every person feel welcomed and loved. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored and the countless lives she touched.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, followed by a service on Tuesday at 12:00 PM. with Pastor Trey Holland officiating.
