Cheryl Ann Cochran, age 64, of Covington, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.  She was born in Tipton County, TN on June 7, 1959 to parents Thurman and Tassie Glass Byrd, and was one of three children. Ms. Cheryl was a kind-hearted and family-oriented woman who loved hard, and would do anything for anyone, whether they were family or not.  Spending time with her grandchildren was her favorite pastime, and she loved being a Memaw.

To cherish her memory, she leaves her two sons, Matt Cochran and John (Deniece) Cochran; five grandchildren, Laura, Brady, Terrell “T.J”, Kendrick, and Daxton; one great-grandchild, Maverick; her brother, Thurman Byrd, Jr.; her sister-in-law, Cindy Salmon, and her beloved Chihuahua, Dixie.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell Cochran, her parents, Thurman and Tassie Byrd, and her brother, Albert Byrd.

Services for Ms. Cheryl will be held at 2p.m. in the chapel of Covington Funeral Home on Monday, March 11, 2024, with interment to follow in Shiloh Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Jewell.  Visitation for friends and family will begin at 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.
