Janice Fletcher, age 92, of Gilt Edge, TN passed away April 16, 2025.
Janice was a wife, mother, educator, social worker and she happily retired from the Tennessee Department of Human Services many years ago. She graduated from The University of Tennessee where she met the love of her life, Walter. She was a life member of Delta Zeta.
Janice loved her family and will be missed by all.
She was the daughter of the late James Herman Jones and Alta Mulkey Jones of Knoxville, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Walter T. Fletcher, Jr.
She is survived by her three sons Steve (Gail) Fletcher, Paul (Tammy) Fletcher, and Travis Fletcher, one grandson, Brandon (Lauren) Fletcher, and one great granddaughter, Zoe Mizzell.
Her ashes will be scattered alongside her late husband's ashes on the farm they loved in a private ceremony. The family requests that in lieu of flowers a memorial be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
