Cheryl Ann Keeler, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2024, at the age of 67 in Kimball Township. Born on October 12, 1956, in Port Huron, Cheryl's life was a testament to the joy and generosity she brought into the world.
Cheryl was the cherished daughter of the late Lloyd and Iva Keeler. She grew up surrounded by her loving siblings who, Cindy (Mike) Gouin, Ricky (Kris) Keeler, Rusty Keeler, Ronnie Keeler, and Lori (Bob) Radatz. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she nurtured those bonds with every ounce of her being.
After graduating from Port Huron High School, Cheryl dedicated her professional life to serving the community as a General Manager at local McDonald's restaurants. Her work was not just a job; it was a calling where she became an integral part of the McDonald's Family. Cheryl's warmth and welcoming smile became a hallmark of her leadership, and she left an indelible mark on both her colleagues and customers.
Cheryl's heart was truly at home, however, when she was with her beloved daughters, Brandy (Gerald) Grattan, Erica (Michael) Brooks, and Amanda (Drew) Artman. She was a guiding light in their lives, instilling in them the values of kindness, humor, and selflessness. Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply, and she showered her grandchildren, Jerry, Abigail, Juliet, Jethero Grattan, Kylie, Lucas Brooks, and Baby Drew Artman, with love and attention. Each of them will carry forward the lessons and laughter she shared. She is also survived by her step-siblings, Walt Elsey, Tony Elsey, and Tim (Connie) Elsey.
She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Marsha Keeler.
An avid reader, Cheryl found solace and adventure within the pages of books. Her love for her grandchildren was paralleled only by her passion for reading and her annual trips to Frankenmuth, where she reveled in the joy of tradition and family.
Cheryl's infectious humor and generous spirit were the glue that held her extensive circle of nieces, nephews, and friends together. She had the rare ability to light up a room with her presence and make everyone feel at home. Her laughter was a melody that will echo in the hearts of those who knew her.
Described by those who loved her as loving, funny, and generous, Cheryl's legacy is one of unwavering love and boundless generosity. She lived her life with a sense of purpose and joy that inspired everyone around her.
Cheryl Ann Keeler's story is not one of sorrow, but of a life beautifully lived and a journey completed with grace. She has left behind a tapestry of memories that will be cherished and celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit will continue to guide and comfort her family and friends, as they remember her with smiles as bright as the one she always wore.
