Cheryl Toal

Cheryl Lynn Toal (Imler), 63, of New Oxford, PA, entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 30, 2024, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born January 30, 1961, in Hanover, she was the daughter of Betty L. Wonder (Payne) and the late James William Topper.
A graduate of Spring Grove High School, Cheryl initially pursued her passion for beauty and earned her cosmetology license before beginning her career as a rural USPS mail carrier in York Springs. She was cherished by her customers for her unwavering dedication and care. Beyond her career, Cheryl poured her heart into her family and the community she served.
An avid plant lover, Cheryl could often be found tending to her home, surrounded by vibrant greenery and her unique collection of flowers. Known for her meticulous attention to detail, she kept her home immaculate, creating a warm and welcoming space for all who entered. Her Christian faith was the foundation of her strength, carrying her through life's challenges, including her courageous battle with cancer. Cheryl's selflessness, radiant spirit, and willingness to lend a helping hand left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Cheryl is survived by her children, Jacob Toal of Hanover and Jessica Schmidt (Nye) of Manchester; her beloved granddaughter, Oriana Carmona; her mother, Betty Wonder; her brothers, Jeffery Klunk, Timothy Klunk, and William Imler; her sister, Jennifer Rigel; and many nieces and nephews. She is reunited in heaven with her brother Stacy Imler and her sister Lisa Frank (Imler).
A private celebration of Cheryl's life will be held for her immediate family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to John W. Keffer Funeral Home to assist with the memorial expenses.
