Cheryle Ann (Blenkle) Gherman passed away quietly on Monday, September 22, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 25, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan to her parents Cleta Jane (Beard) Holman and Harvey O. Blenkle, both of whom have preceded her in death. Cheryle's kind and caring nature led her to have a long, successful career as a nurse before retiring in 2019. She was an avid traveler. Whether it was the busy streets of London or the ruins of Machu Picchu, she was always up for an adventure. She loved the arts: painting, theatre, music. You could catch her at a local performance any day of the week. Cheryle was also a talented painter, and her home is filled with many of her works. She loved animals, always making sure to use a rescue or animal shelter to give forgotten animals a good home. She was an angel walking among us and words cannot express how dearly she will be missed.

Cheryle is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Michael Gherman, her daughter Ariel Gherman, her step-daughter Heather Gherman, stepfather Rudy W. Holman, her siblings Sheila Martin, Michelle Shockley, Deborah DuPree, Kelly White, Travis Craft; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends she has met throughout her lifetime.

Her family has chosen cremation, and the funeral and celebration of her life will be held Friday, October 17th at 1 pm at Unity Church of Houston. In honor of Cheryle's vibrant spirit, please wear colorful, casual clothing to her service. Flowers are welcome at the service.
