Chris Kefalos Obituary

He was asked to play for the Panathinaikos team in Greece. He won 6 Greek championships in 71, 72, 73,74,75, and 77. He also won the Greek Cup in 1983 as coach. He was a former player and coach of the greens. Chris also played for the men's national team. He owned and operated his own sporting goods stores called K&K Sports and his own factory where he produced his own line of sports clothing. Chris also held a contract with Converse to sell their sneakers.
Son of the late Pantelis and Rachel (Bucci) Kefalos; he is survived by his sister, Tula and husband Bill Arland; a nephew, Christopher Arland and wife Tammy; a niece, Catherine (Arland) and husband Samuel Hedrick; and their families; as well as a wonderful family friend Marita Sormunen, and other family and friends.
Greek Orthodox funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 11:30 AM at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1200 Klockner Rd., Hamilton, NJ. Burial to follow in the Fernwood Cemetery, 6501 Baltimore Ave., Lansdowne, PA. Knee him when he played fir Temple and I was sports editor of the daily student newspaper. He got along very well. I traveled with the team for three years.
