Chris Michael Reul

Chris Michael Reul, of Pompton Lakes, died Monday, June 12, 2023. He was 60 years old.
Born in the Bronx, New York, Chris was the son of William and Mary Reul. Moving to New Jersey at the age of four with his family, Chris grew up in Bloomingdale, and was a 1980 graduate of Butler High School.
Chris was always someone who knew how to fix just about anything, and dove right into a career comprised of lots of different hands-on jobs. He spent the last 40 years as a carpet installer for Family Carpets in Riverdale, a job that he was very good at and greatly enjoyed.
Chris had a huge heart, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was "the problem solver," and was always there to help those in need. Though he was quiet at first, when he got to know you, he was quite a funny guy! He made lifelong friends in Bloomingdale, and was still surrounded by many of those he grew up with.
Chris is lovingly survived by his daughter, Niki Reul; his siblings,Bill Reul and his wife Kathy, Mitchell Reul and his wife Sharon, and Mary Walter and her husband Nicholas; his former wife, Sari Reul; his step-sisters, Sherryl and Kim; and his nieces and nephews, Jessica, Matthew, Andrew, Kayla, Abby, Zachary, and Ashley.
Visiting with the family will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, June 26 at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Tuesday at St. Mary's Church, Pompton Lakes. Cremation will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Chris' memory to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
