Christopher "Chris" Jacob Schnepf, 43, Greenwood, Indiana went into God's arms on November 10th, 2023. He was born December 6, 1979. He attended Our Lady of Greenwood; was a 1998 graduate of Roncalli High School and received his associate degree from Vincennes University. Chris received many Scouting awards and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. On June 27, 2008, he married the love of his life, Sarah Ward Schnepf.
Chris is survived by Sarah; beautiful daughters, Elizabeth, and Josephine; loving parents, Carl, and Mary Jo (Battiato) Schnepf; brother, Ryan (Steffani); nephews, Nicolas, and Michael; grandparents, Laurel Schnepf and John Battiato; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was proceeded in death by his beloved B-Ma, Dolores Battiato Smith; grandfather, Carl Jacob Schnepf, Jr; uncle, Kurt Schnepf. beloved family, Margaret and George Strack, Rosemary and Jerry Dufek, Kevin O'Donnell, Carl Stahl, and Melvin and Bette Kettelhut.
He was a devout Christian, attending Emmanuel Church with his family. He would do anything for anyone in his large family and friends. His girls meant the world to him, and he would do anything for them. He sang all the Taylor Swift songs at the top of his lungs with them, he went to their concerts, games, activities and was their biggest supporter and confidant. He loved animals, and when a new rescue was brought home, he was their best friend, often being caught feeding them scraps of dinner under the table or napping with them. He never knew a stranger. Chris left a huge hole in his family that only prayers, love and support will help fill. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions for his family to mealtrain.com/qkw7d9.
Services for Chris are Thursday, November 16 at 7:00 pm at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Ave., Indianapolis 46227, with visitation from 5:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.

I met Chris at OLG when my kids started there. I later began to work at the school while I was getting a degree in education. I ran the before and after school program and substituted for teachers at the school. Chris could be a bit of a handful at times, just like I was.But I learned a lot from one of the happiest kids I knew. I saw him in high school too because my kids were there also. Always fun to run into him. Later in life I saw him when he enrolled his oldest in Head Start. I just happened to run the center he enrolled her at. Was fun to see his hot dog store. He was always soo enthusiastic whatever he did.
He will be missed, loved Chris

My family grieves for Chris with you. I first got to know Chris as classmate to my children. But I feel I truly got to know Chris when my husband, Tim, worked with him during Eagles´s Nest or when subbing at OLG. Chris certainly made a difference in Tim´s life! Tim saw a lot of himself in Chris - boundless energy, questions and a pure sweet spirit. To this day, an old story with Chris in pops up with a chuckle and sweet memories. Our prayers and love to your family as you find your way. Sincerely, Sue Merrell.
