Christine Ann Sapp

Christine Sapp, age 70, passed away suddenly on November 13, 2025. She was born February 26, 1955 and lived entirely in Columbus, Ohio, the majority in Clintonville, a neighborhood she treasured. A proud graduate of North High School (1973) and The Ohio State University (1979), Christine devoted her life to serving others as a compassionate and dedicated Columbus City Schools ESL teacher. Her gentle spirit and commitment to education touched the lives of countless students and families.
Christine lived her faith deeply and shared it generously. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where she found strength, community, and purpose. A passionate member of Alpha Delta Kappa, she dedicated countless hours as the local chapter president. She also belonged to the North High School Alumni Association and the Clintonville Women's Club, forming lifelong friendships through her service and involvement, and was the President of ADK.
A devoted OSU Buckeye fan, Christine also found joy in collecting and displaying her Dickens Christmas Villages and Longaberger baskets, delighting in the beauty and tradition they brought to her home.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Reynold and Eleanor Sapp and brother, David Sapp. She is survived by her brother, Jim (Linda) Sapp, along with cherished nieces, nephews: Terry (Bart) Lawyer, Bridget (Stephen) Lancaster, Ben (Licia) Sapp, Jonathan (Lori) Sapp, great nieces, great nephews: Thomas Lancaster, James Lancaster, Audrey Lawyer, Drew Sapp, and other beloved family members who will carry her memory in their hearts. Friends may call on Monday November 24, 2025 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday November 25, 2025 at 9:00am at the Immaculate Conception Church, 414 East North Broadway, Columbus Ohio. Interment will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her generous heart, and her steadfast love for her family and her faith.
