George Thomas "Tom" Perry, 89, of Lewis Center, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, at home surrounded by family, the day before his 60th wedding anniversary.
Tom was born on June 24, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of David and Bernadette (Donahue) Perry.
Tom graduated from Olentangy High School in 1955.
He had fifty years of motor sales and service at Shoemaker Electric and Columbus Electrical Works in Columbus, Ohio. Tom retired at 79 years of age from a job that he loved.
Tom married Margaret (Shuler) on November 14,1965.
Tom attended Lewis Center United Methodist Church.
Most important in Tom's life was spending time with family. Highlighted by multiple vacations with his grandchildren. He also liked working on the Delaware County farm with his brother John. He liked NASCAR races and going to The Indianapolis 500 with his cousins. He was an accomplished car mechanic and home repairman.
Surviving Tom is his wife, Margaret; children, Eric (Allyson) Perry, Anne (Ivan) Vukcevich, Lynn (Darren) Shirk; grandchildren, James Perry, Vivian Vukcevich, Kendall and Perry Shirk along with many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Tom in death are his parents, David and Bernadette Perry; brothers, Sonny and John, sister Virginia, and grandparents "Mom and Dad" Perry.
Calling hours will be at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High Street, Worthington, Ohio on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 12:00-2:00, followed by a celebration of life 2:00-3:00.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tom's memory may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Salvation Army Toy Drive.
