Christopher was born June 7, 1991 to Michael Hebert and Sherry Baker Hebert in Baton Rouge,
La. At an early age, he was baptized by Rev. William Dearborne and became a member of the Union
Chapel Baptist Church. Chris actively participated in the youth programs of both Union Chapel and St.
John Missionary Baptist Church.
Chris attended Rapides High School where he excelled as a State Champion Point Guard on the
basketball team. He was voted 1 st Team, All-State, and All-District during his basketball career. After
graduating from Rapides High, he attended Grambling State University. He had a passion for basketball
and a love for music, fashion, and traveling.
The greatest joy of Chris' life was his son, Christian Josiah. Chris always bragged on his intelligence. He
was amazed at how Christian discussed in detail the different features of his favorite cars, trucks and
most notably trains. He admired his son's individuality, boasted on his love for him, and cherished every
moment they spent together. Chris looked forward to seeing the young man Christian would grow to be.
On August 27, 2022, Chris united in marriage to Lakesha Pantallion. Anyone who knew him could easily
see how much he loved his wife and cherished being her husband. With great joy, honor and pride, he
stood in the gap as the father of Markesha, Makiayah, and Mileayah, which he reared as his very own. It
brought him great delight when their five grandbabies would call him "Popsy". Like a soldier, Chris took
serious his duties as Godfather to both Braelynn Smith and ZaNyrian "Pop" Richard instilling love,
protection, and discipline when needed.
Chris transitioned from this life on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. He is preceded in death by his
grandparents Alex Baker Jr, Adam Hebert, Irene Thibeaux Hebert; 1 Uncle Patrick Baker; 1 nephew
Daeyon Campbell.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Lakesha Hebert; Mother Sherry Butler (Albert); Father
Michael Hebert; 1 son, Christian Josiah Hebert; 3 daughters Markesha Brown, Makiayah Brown, and
Mileayah Green; 3 sisters Tamika Francis of Lewisville, Tx, Dayla Hebert of Missouri City, Tx, and Brittini
Baker; 1 brother Caleb Hebert; 1 Grandmother Doris Baker; Mother-in-law Tina Williams; Father-in-law
Eric Pantallion; 2 Brother-in-laws Eric and Jamorick Pantallion; 2 Sister-in-laws Christy and Erica
Pantallion; 1 Great Aunt Mattie Harris; 4 grandchildren, a special sister Kinya Armstrong (Jamie), and a
host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and friends.
Please keep the family in prayer.
