Christopher Heath Knowles was born on December 5, 1966 to Hugh and Vera Knowles of St. Charles, Michigan. Chris grew up in Michigan, and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping with family. He graduated from Evart High School in 1985 and began his Air Force journey 2 weeks later. His first assignment was K.I. Sawyer A.F.B, and it is there he met and married his wife of 38 years, Kristin.
He lived in Minnesota after his separation from active duty. He joined the Air Force Reserves in 1991 and remained with the 934th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron until his retirement in 2015, with many deployments during that time. In 1994 he went to Dunwoody Institute and became a plumber, while working full time and raising a family. He worked at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center, and was the plumbing shop supervisor at the time of his passing. Chris enjoyed life, laughing, campfires, helping people, and he worked hard to be the best he could be in every aspect of life. His love of fishing and hunting never ended and he was planning on moving to the UP to pursue those passions, and start building bird houses.
Chris is survived by his loving wife, Kristin; children Jeff and his wife Alex, Marcus and Anna and her partner Angel; mother Vera; brother Hugh and his wife Denise; sisters Cathy (spouse Trish), Jennifer, Laura; Aunt Margaret, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at White Funeral Home in Farmington on May 21, 2025, 5pm-8pm, and on May 22, 2025, at St. Michael's Catholic church from 10am-11am. Services to begin at 11am. Interment will be at Corinthian Cemetery following the service. A luncheon will be provided immediately following at the church social hall.
