Christopher Weldon Vernon

Christopher Weldon Vernon, 57, passed away Saturday November 16, 2024, as a result of an auto accident near Frankfort, IN.

Born May 30, 1967, in Logansport, Chris was the son to the late William “Bill” A. and Diane (Vaughan) Vernon.

Chris worked as an athletic trainer at Kokomo High School and was a former athletic trainer for Carmel High School, Dayton Dragons, Toronto Blue Jays, Indiana Pacers, Detroit Tigers, ProTeam Tactical Performance and Indianapolis Police Department. He graduated from Logansport High School in 1985 and went on to receive a degree from Ball State University. After Ball State he went on to receive his master’s degree from Iowa State University. Chris was also a former professional boxer.

A Celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm Monday November 25, 2024, at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Gross Officiating. A private burial will be held at a later time in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport, IN. 

Visitation hours will be from 11:00am until the time of the service on Monday Nov. 25, 2024.
