Christopher Lawrence Wheatley

Christopher Lawrence Wheatley, 55, of Owensboro passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born in Owensboro on February 24, 1970 to the late Anthony "Tony" Wheatley and Rose Boarman Wheatley, who survives.
Chris was a graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School and continued his education at Western Kentucky University where he graduated with a degree in Systems Management. He spent most of his career in finance and insurance. Chris was an avid fan of NASCAR and University of Kentucky basketball and football.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Lisa Katherine Wheatley and Robert Eric Wheatley.
In addition to his mother, Rose Wheatley, Chris is survived by three children, Christopher Jarrett Wheatley, Katelyn Weaver (Andy) and Samuel Wheatley; six grandchildren, Jameson, Charlie and Norah Weaver, Conner and Cayden Wheatley, and Grayson Wheatley; brother, Dwayne Wheatley (Sherry); sisters, Susan Damin and Laura Clark; special godmother, Eloise Boarman; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be at 12:00pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2025at St Pius X, 3418 KY 144, Owensboro, KY 42303. Visitation will be at St. Pius on Tuesday from 10:00am until 12:00pm. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
