Clea Newitt Headman, a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully August 29, 2025 in Springville, Utah, at the age of 81.
Born on May 18, 1944, in Spanish Fork, Utah, Clea was the daughter of Cliff Tadd Newitt and Beth Whittaker. She grew up in a close-knit family and attended Spanish Fork High School.
Clea married Franklin Jesse Headman, with whom she shared 65 Years of love and partnership. Together, they raised five daughters: Jacquelyn Jones (Mark A. Jones), Tammy Christensen (Kyle Christensen), Stacy Headman, Wendy Hales (Troy Hales), and Cathy Lassen (Shawn Lassen). Clea’s family was the heart of her world, and she found her greatest joy in being surrounded by her family.
Throughout her career, Clea was known for her unwavering reliability, integrity, and attention to detail. She worked for many years at Signetics, where she earned the respect of her colleagues through her dedication and precision. Later, she brought those same qualities to her work at Targus Info, where she remained a valued team member.
Clea is survived by her loving husband, Franklin Jesse Headman; her sister, Becky Wilson; her five daughters; and her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents Cliff Tadd Newitt and Beth Whittaker, a son Joseph Franklin Headman and her siblings: Mable Peterson, Allen C. Newitt, Cherie Roylance, and Jerry Newitt.
Clea departed this life with the same quiet dignity and strength that marked her days on earth. In passing, she is reunited with those she held dear who went before her. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, service, and gentle strength lives on in those she leaves behind.
