Franklin – Clifford Arlington "Cliff" Hedgepeth, Jr., 80, passed away February 20, 2025 in Southside Regional Medical Center. He was born and raised in Suffolk and was the son of the late Clifford Arlington Hedgepeth, Sr. and Alice Yates Hedgepeth. He was also predeceased by his son Clifford Arlington "Cliffy" Hedgepeth, III and a son-in-law, Robert Steven Morris.
Cliff was a graduate of Frederick Military Academy in Portsmouth, attended Virginia Military Institute before serving six years in the Air Force, and also was a retired Army National Guardsman with over 20 years of service. Cliff worked at WTKR Channel 3 for ten years as an Audio Engineer and also retired from International Paper as an instrument mechanic.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years, Gloria Jean Jeffries Hedgepeth; a daughter, Anne Hedgepeth Morris; a sister, Alice Olivia Hedgepeth; two grandchildren, Taylor Martindale (Robby) and Colin O'Melia (Moriah); and his adored great granddaughter, Luray Sunshine Martindale.
Services will be private. Per Cliff's request, in lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters.

Cliff was my brother, Jack Howell's, best friend in high school. They got their ham licences on the same day. He visited us often back then.
