Cody M. Mercer, age 30, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023
On June 27, 1992, a beautiful soul was born, Cody Mercer. He was a gentle hearted child who loved baseball and was very gifted at the sport. He often recalled his childhood and said those days of playing ball were some of his happiest moments. Cody also enjoyed online video games. He had many online friends, some who were his family, like his cousin Sean. He was somewhat of an introvert socially but those who knew him closely knew he had no problems talking about things with you. If you knew him, you knew he could text an entire novel even. He loved baseball and hoped one day to coach children in a league.
Cody grew up in Southaven, MS where he graduated from Desoto Central High School in 2010. Over the years, he was involved in a couple of business endeavors, the latest being Escape This Biloxi.
Cody was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Estelle Hebert Beauchamp.
He is survived by his mother, Lori Beauchamp; half-sister, Marjorie Mercer; aunt, Pam (Ricky) Heinrich; uncle, Jimmy (Stephanie) Beauchamp; cousins, Sean (Apryl) Wren, Rebecca (Dustin) McLain, Aubrey and Sara Boykin, Blakelyn and Tatum McLain; and numerous other family members.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. all at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue in Biloxi. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
