Coletta "Kay" Ruth Deckelman Rebenock was born in Parma Heights, Ohio on Friday, January 26, 1934, to Lucille (Reidy) and Andrew Deckelman. She was part of the first graduating class of Riverside High School. She married Victor Joseph Rebenock on June 8, 1957 at St. Mary's Church in Painesville. Together they purchased an old farmhouse in Painesville Township a stone's throw from the Village of Grand River, where they would spend the next forty years.

She is survived by her children, Julie Ann (Dale) Schiavoni and Victor (Annette) Rebenock; grandchildren Jarrod, Ian and Kyle, great granddaughter Natalie, Lillith and Roland. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Victor Joseph Rebenock, and siblings, Doris Hudyka, Marie Holnapy, Frank Deckelman and Robert Deckleman.

Kay was always a very social lady, who for many years belonged to a women's club and bowling league with friends who remained so for many years. She always gave back to the community and volunteered her time. She was long-time member of the Merrick Hutchinson School PTA, and served as President; a member and President of the Blazettes, a group formed to raise money for the Grand River Volunteer Fire Department. She was one of the first women in the State of Ohio to complete the volunteer firefighter and rescue certification classes. After which, she used her skills with the Grand River Volunteer Fire Department along with her husband and many of their friends.

Kay had her own business selling Tupperware and later sold Studio Girl Cosmetics. For many years, she sold her ceramic and other craft creations as the owner of Kay's Kountry Korner. Kay worked as a bookkeeper for Grand River Lime Company, Earl Ives Equipment, Stanley Trucking, Fratelli's Italian Market as well as Alpha Development, where she also managed commercial and residential properties. Kay was an avid reader of historic romance novels and enjoyed tending to her birdfeeders and gardens. She is now at peace.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 5-7pm with the funeral service following at 7:00pm at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077.
