Crystal Porter Obituary

Crystal was born on August 14, 1959 in Cleveland County, NC daughter of the Charles Alvin Porter, Sr. and Juanita Marcella Eaker Porter. She worked various jobs including nursing, hair stylist and in sales. Crystal was a former member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cherryville for over 50 years. She enjoyed reading her Bible, Nicholas Sparks books and watching movies. Crystal had a love for music and enjoyed playing the piano and guitar.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Alvin "Chuck" Porter, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Gregory Todd Price of Cherryville; a daughter, Brittany Galloway (Jarvis Ross) of Polkville; three stepsons, Cory Price of Patterson Springs; Dennis Price of Shelby and Dusty Price of Morganton; three grandchildren, Ayden Brett Minteer, Aaliyah Mae Ross, Jarvis Travon Ross, Jr.; also numerous step grandchildren and a very special friend Debbie Bell.
The family will receive friends from 1:45PM to 2:45PM on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Lail officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Cherryville.
Memorials may be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Crystal and I were 4 years old. My uncle David Ledford married her aunt Gail Eaker. We grew up together and had many misadventures. Life took us in different directions but I loved you and always wished for your happiness. Rest in peace my friend. Give my love to Vickey and Dwight.
