Crystal D. Torrence, 53, of Shreve, died May 22, 2024, at Akron City Hospital.

Crystal was born September 19, 1970, in Millersburg, Ohio to Robert and Christine {Gooding} Hicks.

She married Brian Torrence on October 26, 1991.  

Crystal graduated from the University of Akron.

Crystal was a licensed social worker and administrator and Regional Vice President of Operations at Altercare Integrated Health Services in Northeast Ohio. She enjoyed going on motorcycle rides with her dear friends, vacations, sightseeing, and working on her own backyard oasis. Crystal enjoyed cooking, and her plants. She loved her job and made a big difference in a lot of peoples lives.

Crystal will be deeply missed by her husband Brian; son Justin (Katlyn) Torrence of Wooster; honorary grandson Wyatt Butler (Parents Michael and Chelsea Butler); mother Christine Hicks of Wooster; grandmother Marjorie Robinson; brothers Wayne Smail, and Keith Hicks; chosen sisters Terri Reutter, April Baker, Anissa Hamilton, Yvonne Hendershott, and Jolene Smith.

Crystal was preceded in death by her father Robert Hicks, and aunt Karen Anderson.

Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting with arrangements. Celebration of Life Services will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
