Algernon R Torrence Jr was born April 22, 1974 to Algernon R Torrence Sr and Ruth Torrence. He transitioned from this life on August 17, 2025.

Alg, as he is lovingly referred to, was a 1992 graduate of McKinley Sr High School. In his earlier years he was employed at Cinemark Movies10, Bob Evans, Giant Eagle, and as a manager at Save-A-Lot.

Alg was an avid sports fan. He favored Larry Bird, The Lakers, and Kobe Bryant. His true passion was football. He loved the Cincinnati Bengals, Fantasy Football, and was a huge Michigan fan. Go Blue!!!

Alg is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Daniel Torrence Sr, and Nina Torrence. Maternal grandparents Algie Burt Jr, and Henri Lou Burt. Nephew Dewayne "DJ" Jackson Jr.

Alg is survived by his wife Robin Torrence, step daughter Jazmyne Hunley that he raised, and daughter Aryah Torrence. Siblings Subrina Torrence, Natalie (Marteze) Williams, Jermaine Torrence, Ebony Torrence, and Keyonna (Justin) Williams, and Shawna Snell. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and special friends to cherish his memory.

Memorial service will be held on August 30th at noon at Bethel C.M.E. Church 1903 2nd St NE Canton OH,44704
