CURTIS MORRISON
Henderson, TN: Curtis Bedford Morrison age 79, passed away September 25, 2025, at Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born December 19, 1945, in Montezuma, the son of the late Malcolm Bedford and Bessie Ruth Marsh Morrison. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1964.
He had farmed his entire life in the Montezuma Community.
He married Norma Jane Ford on April 25, 1969, and they made their home in Henderson for twenty-five years before moving to the home place in Montezuma.
He enjoyed reading, quail and dove hunting and he loved old county music.
He was a member of the Haltom Chapel Church.
He was a loving, devoted husband, father, brother and "Pop".
Mr. Morrison is survived by his wife, Norma Jane Ford Morrison, a son, Ronald Curtis Morrison (Kimberly) of Henderson and a daughter, Mendi Leigh Morrison of Nashville, two grandchildren, Ronald Curtis Morrison, Jr. and Daisy Layla Morrison, a brother, Malcolm Edwin "Andy" Morrison of Henderson, five sisters, Sylvia Skaggs of Collierville, Judy Johnson (Richard) of Jackson, Jana Maness of Henderson, Beverly Hay of Henderson and Vanessa "Van" Cooper (Jeff) of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and four sisters, Evelyn Bishop, Linda Slater, Sharon Morrison and Charlotte Morrison.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, September 28th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Mike Schaefer officiating. Burial will follow at Montezuma Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday.
