Cynthia Hannah Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Cindy Arthurs Hannah, a beloved wife, mother, cherished family member, coach and passionate skier. Cindy passed away on January 4, 2025 after a year-long battle with cancer.
Cindy's love for her family was her greatest joy, and her presence in their lives will be profoundly missed. Her unwavering support, warmth, and boundless love created a foundation of strength that will live on in the hearts of her children, family, and friends.
Born September 12, 1968, Cindy was a proud graduate of St. Hugo of the Hills, Marian High School and Michigan State University (Sigma Kappa), where she built lasting friendships and laid the foundation for a life full of adventure. She was an avid skier and an inspiring ski coach for Pontiac Notre Dame Prep and dedicated herself to helping others experience the joy and thrill of the slopes. Whether she was on the mountain or mentoring others, Cindy's energy, enthusiasm, and love for the sport were contagious.
A true lover of the outdoors, Cindy spent countless hours on the slopes, but her greatest joy came from sharing those moments with others. She believed in the power of nature, the spirit of camaraderie, and the importance of living life to the fullest. Her legacy will live on in the countless individuals she inspired and the many lives she touched.
While prioritizing family, Cindy was also a successful residential realtor for Coldwell Banker Weir Manuel in Birmingham and had a passion for helping her clients find their first homes and dream homes. She also loved her community of Sylvan Lake, Michigan ("the prettiest little city in Michigan), where she built countless friendships and often volunteered by serving on the annual Home & Garden Tour, Community Garage Sale committee and was the official photographer to many Sylvan Lake community events. She was named a Michigan Week Community Award winner in 2018. Cindy loved volunteering and was humble in her achievements
Cindy's memory will be lovingly carried on by her husband Scott Hannah and her children Megan Gasser and Will Hannah, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her laughter, kindness, and passion will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Arthurs. She is survived by her husband Scott Hannah, daughter Megan Gasser, son Will Hannah, father,Jack Arthurs and brothers John Arthurs, Mark Arthurs (Denise) & Bill Arthurs. She is also survived by several brothers and sisters in law and nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 2-8PM at A.J. Desmond & Sons, Vasu, Rodgers and Connell Chapel (32515 Woodward Ave., Royal Oak). Funeral Mass Tuesday, January 14, 2025, 10:00AM at St. Hugo of the Hills Stone Chapel (2215 Opdyke, Bloomfield Hills). Visiting at church begins at 9:30AM.
Cindy's family and friends take comfort in knowing that she is now skiing in the heavens, forever in motion, with the same joy and energy that defined her time with us.
