Cynthia (Cindy to those that knew her) K. Sellers of Bourbon, IN passed away peacefully in her sleep after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 65. She was born on July 10, 1959 in Richmond, IN to Curtis and Jeanne Middleton. The family moved to Plymouth, IN when she was 7. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1977. She went on to graduate with her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from IU.
She was united in marriage to Leland Sellers on February 12, 1978 and they started a family. Together they purchased a farm in Bourbon where they raised 4 children. She was an avid and talented seamstress and made many quilts, dresses, and crochet projects in her somewhat free time.
She had several occupations; she spent several years as a Certified Public Accounting in Plymouth. She served as the CFO for Women’s Care Center for 7 years before transitioning back to Maple Leaf Farms in Milford, IN.
She was a faithful servant of Christ and attended several churches along her spiritual journey, including the First United Methodist Church in Plymouth, Mount Pleasant Church of the Brethren, Bremen Church of the Brethren, Camp Creek Church of the Brethren, and the First United Methodist Church in Warsaw.
Survivors include her loving husband, Leland; four children, Daniel (Christine) Sellers of Plymouth, Jacquelyn (Jason) Clinton of Lafayette, Crystal (Nick) Jacobson of LaGrange, and Isaac (Holly) Sellers of Bourbon. She enjoyed spoiling her 9 grandchildren: Luke and Scianna Sellers, Lydia and Ezekiel Jacobson and bonus grandson, Zac Thornsberry, Briannica Clinton, and Lexy, Toby, Ryley, and Griffyn Sellers. Also surviving are her mother, Jeanne Middleton of Plymouth; sister, Pamela Michel of Plymouth; father-in-law, Donald Sellers of Bourbon; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis; sister, Nancy; brother-in-law, Ron Michel; nephew, Todd Michel; and mother-in-law, Velma Sellers.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 4-7PM at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 11AM at the First United Methodist Church, 400 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563.
