Dagmar "Tippy" Heitz (nee Tibitanzl), age 76, of Rockford, IL, formerly of Berwyn, passed away surrounded by the love of her family in Naperville on August 27, 2025, after a brief illness.
She was born on February 16, 1949, to the late Charles and Vlasta Tibitanzl (nee Secky). Tippy lived her life to the fullest, always surrounded by family and friends.
Tippy was preceded in death by her late husband, Gary L. Heitz on May 10, 2019.
She leaves behind her loving son, Gene (Michaelene) Tracey; cherished daughter, Sandi Tracey; and beloved granddaughters, Annemarie, Alicia, and Allison Tracey; sister of Milada (Curtis) Potsic; dear stepchildren, Brian Heitz, Stacy (Sharon) Heitz, and Ryan Clair. She will also be deeply missed by her faithful companion, Holly, and her best friend, Peggy Luter.
Tippy was known for her quick wit, contagious laugh, and ability to make everyone feel at ease. She enjoyed fishing, baking her famous houskas and yeast rolls for the holidays, taking casino trips, visiting family in Florida, watching The MeidasTouch Network, and sharing fellowship with her many friends in Al-Anon. A Beatles super fan and trivia mastermind, Tippy never missed a chance to bring joy and laughter into the lives of those around her.
In lieu of flowers, for those who would like to leave a lasting tribute in Tippy's name, memorials may be made to Angels Grace Hospice of Bolingbrook, Illinois, or Arista Healthcare in Naperville, Illinois or The Lincoln Project.
A private family entombment will be held at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Stickney, IL.
Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Naperville, was entrusted with arrangements.
