Dakota Lee Mccormack

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Dakota Lee McCormack, loved son, partner, and friend. He was born on January 4, 1995 to his devoted mother, Kerry McCormack, in Sandy Springs. Tragically on July 24th, 2023 Dakota left us all too soon, leaving behind a legacy of love, passion, and cherished memories.
Dakota attended Walton High School and was in his 3rd year at Mechanical Trade Institute. He was not only an outstanding student but also a friend to many, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him during those formative years.
Dakota was growing in his career in the field of pipefitting and welding. With determination and dedication, he worked tirelessly to achieve his goal of becoming an aspiring foreman. His commitment to his work and school was unwavering.
Dakota's spiritual connection was evident through his attendance at His Hands Church in Woodstock. His faith was a cornerstone in his life, providing him with strength, comfort, and guidance as he embarked on his journey.
In his moments of leisure, Dakota found solace in the outdoors. He had a passion for fishing, cooking, reading, and finding the best coffee shops. He found tranquility by the water's edge as he cast his line into the depths. Baseball also held a special place in his heart. He enjoyed reading one of his favorite books, Endure by Cameron Hanes.
Dakota leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His infectious smile, heart for others, and zest for life will continue to inspire us all to live each day to the fullest and to cherish the moments we share with our loved ones.
As we gather to remember and celebrate the life of Dakota, let us find comfort in the priceless memories we shared, the love we experienced, and the lessons he taught us. In this time of mourning, may we also find solace in the thought that he is at peace, watching over us with the same love and warmth that he shared during his time on this earth.
Rest in peace, dear Dakota. You will be forever missed and forever loved.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 12 at 2:00pm 121 Claremore Dr | Woodstock, GA 30188. Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in His Hands Church. As grew there spiritually the last several months.
