Damien Reon Rongey, 22, of Farmington passed away December 8, 2024. He was born July 14, 2002, in St. Louis. Damien was a 2020 graduate of Farmington High School. He earned a degree in Biology from Mineral Area College and Environmental Science from Missouri University of Science and Technology at Rolla. He was member of the Eco Miners at Missouri University S & T. He worked on a capstone project for his internship with the Nature Conservancy, which he loved. Damien loved to read, play video games and enjoyed time outdoors. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends. He will be remembered for his caring heart and helping anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy R. Rongey; grandparents, Beverly Dace and Leon and Nettie Fox.
Damien is survived by his loving mother, Nancy (Fox) Rongey.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 1:30 PM until the time of a memorial service at 2:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant a tree or make a donation to suicide prevention.
