Dana Marie Gauss

Dana Marie Gauss, 61, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, in her hometown where she was born on April 14, 1964.
Dana devoted many years of service working for the State of Michigan, where her dedication and hard work touched many lives. Beyond her career, her faith was the foundation of her life. She lived each day with a steadfast commitment to Christ and a deep love for God.
She found joy in the simple yet meaningful things: cooking meals to share, shopping trips, Bible study with friends, laughter with family, and the occasional margarita enjoyed in good company. Dana's greatest happiness came from spending time with her loved ones. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Josh (Amber) Boyce and Kara (Frank) Samson, and a proud grandmother to Kinsley and Ledger, who brought endless joy to her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Marla Gauss, and her sister, Deneen Klein. Dana was one of seven children, with six siblings she held dear. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews who she loved dearly.
Known for her big heart, thoughtfulness, and selfless nature, Dana was someone who always cared deeply for those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and compassion that will live on in the lives of those who were blessed to know her. Through The Gift of Life, Dana's legacy of compassion continues on in others.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and church community.
Visitation will be held at Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Homes Delta Chapel on Friday, October 3 from 4:00pm-6:00pm with a Memorial Service beginning at 6:00pm.
