Daniel Innaimo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Maiorano Funeral Home - Waterbury on Jul. 29, 2023.
Loving Father and Grandfather
Mr. Daniel A. Innaimo, age 77, formerly of Waterbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at his home.
Born in Waterbury on October 27, 1945, he was the son of the late Daniel D. and Lena (Mastriano) Innaimo. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Class of 1963 and earned both, his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and his Master's Degree in Applied Music from UConn. A gifted musician with a lifelong passion for music, Dan played Bass Trombone in some of Connecticut's most accomplished symphonies. He was a music educator for many years in Waterbury at Crosby High School and later for Westport Public Schools. He inspired many young people to also follow their passion and love of music.
Dan moved to the quiet beautiful town of Sherman nineteen years ago. He treasured his time spent at home and took pride in taking care of his yard but he was happiest while cycling around the tranquil Berkshire Foothills and all of the quaint towns around his neighborhood.
Dan is survived by his children, Daniela Innaimo of Hamden and Antonio Innaimo of Naples, FL, and his grandsons, Michael and Daniel Charm as well as many cousins and friends.
Services for Dan will be held at a later date and at the discretion of the family. Maiorano Funeral Home had the honor and privilege of assisting his family during this difficult time. Memorial contributions in Daniel's name may be made to The UConn Foundation, Inc., Attn: Data Services, 2390 Alumni Dr., Unit 3206, Storrs, CT 06269-3206, please specify School of Music & Daniel's name in the memo or contribute online at www.foundation.uconn.edu/give-online/.
