Daniel E. Rosio

Daniel E. Rosio, of Antigo, died on August 2, 2024 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. He was 85 years old. He was born on October 9, 1938 in Antigo, a son of the late Earl and Ruth (Allen) Rosio. He married Joanne Jira on December 29, 1956 at St. Wencel Catholic Church.
He was a graduate of Antigo High School 1956. Dan served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. He was a Lab Technician at Kraft Foods 23 years.
Dan was a member of St. Wencel Catholic Church where he sang in the church choir and was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was the town of Neva and town of Peck Assessor.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, building bird houses, gathering family genealogy, and working on puzzles.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne; two daughters, Kathy Kahlhamer of Little Falls, MN and Nancy (Dan) Vanden Heuvel of Appleton; two sons, Joseph (Jennie) Rosio of San Antonio, TX and Brian Rosio of Freedom; nine grandchildren, Brandy Potts, Dan (Jordan) Vanden Heuvel Jr., Mike (Kim) Vanden Heuvel, Max (Jen) Kahlhamer, Travis (Steph) Parton, Sierra (Nick) Rosio, Ashlyn (Deegan) Rosio, Joseph Rosio, Jr., Jacob Rosio; ten great-grandchildren, Lucas (Gabriella) Schwahn, Carter Vanden Heuvel, Alex Potts, Emma Vanden Heuvel, Henry, Liesel, and Gretta Kahlhamer, Nova Weiland, Luna Parton, Cash Vanden Heuvel; and a great-great-grandchild, Adaline Schwahn.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Rosio; son-in-law, Dennis Kahlhamer; three sisters, Ruth Hintz, Barbara Frink and Sally Michalak; and a brother, Mike Rosio.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 14, at 2 p.m. at St. Wencel Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Joel Sember and Deacon Andy Bures concelebrating. Burial will take place in St. Wencel Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home.
