With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Danna Faye Reagan of Butler, Ohio, born on August 11, 1939, in Morristown, Tennessee, who left us on January 26, 2025 at the age of 85. Faye, as she was known to family and friends, was a beloved sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend to many. She was known for the depth of her love for her family and was a constant source of strength, wisdom, and love by those that knew her.
Faye was a proud and devoted mother and is survived by her four children: Thomas Keith (Barbara) Britt, Ronald John (Deloris) Britt, Robert Steven (Tracie) Britt, and Dana Lynn (Mark) Britt-Minor, sister Linda Zuchowski of Crawford, Tennessee, 12 grandchildren: Tina Newman, Mary (Dan) Kost, Rachel Britt, Brandi (Shawn) Schnell, Crystal Britt, Tonya Britt, Michael (Mercedes) Britt, Sarah (Nate) Kiser, Terra (Michael) Britt, Jeremy (Sasha) Mitchell, Amanda (Ron) Kettler, and Cassandra Britt, 24 great-grandchildren who lovingly knew her as "Granny", 4 great-great-grandchildren, and her companion of 39 years Joe Grant of Butler, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Ruble "J.R." and Ethel Reagan (nee Green) as well as many aunts and uncles, including her Aunt Catherine Gentry with whom she was very close.
Faye and her family moved from Tennessee to Cleveland, Ohio in 1951 where she would eventually start her own family. She worked for several different companies, but the majority of her working career was spent at American Greetings, from which she retired in 2000. In retirement, Faye and Joe moved to what seemed like a land far, far away (at least to her family living in the City of Cleveland), to a little town called Butler. Faye would fall in love with this little town, and this little town and many of the Amish people who lived in and around it, would fall in love with her. This was Faye Reagan's happy place- the barn, the nature, her gardens, the cozy house with the big front porch, the long driveway, the distance between houses, and how very much not like "The City" it was. When asked what made her the happiest, her response was "Family first! Second would be warm sunny days in my rocking chair on my front porch".
In addition to her family, Faye will be remembered by the many lives she has touched. She was known for her gentle spirit, her generosity, her quick wit and sense of humor, her unending dedication to her family and of course her love of chocolate!
Her memory will live on in the hearts of this great big, beautiful family she created and in all who knew her, may she rest in peace.
Faye's family will receive friends on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Snyder Funeral Home, Lexington Avenue Chapel, 2553 Lexington Avenue, Mansfield, Ohio 44904, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Family members will then proceed to the gravesite immediately following the service as we lay our loved one to rest at Bunkerhill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105, a charity that was close to Faye's heart, and one she generously contributed to each year.
