It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Danny Joe Adair, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and faithful servant, who departed this life on May 12th, 2025, at the age of 73.
Born on January 24th, 1952, Danny Adair lived a life rich in love, laughter, and purpose. He proudly served his country as a carpenter in the United States Air Force, a role that showcased his craftsmanship, dedication, and work ethic. After his military service, he continued to use his skills and passion to help others, always ready with a tool in hand and a heart full of generosity. A devoted member of Lakeview Pentecostal Church, Danny found great joy in his faith and church family. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit were felt by all who knew him.
He was a man who cherished making memories with those he loved most. He enjoyed fishing trips that turned into storytelling marathons, spirited games of bingo, capturing life's moments through photography and video, and never missing a chance to belt out a tune during karaoke. He had a deep love for music – often writing songs from the heart and strumming his guitar for family and friends. His music brought comfort, laughter, and joy to many, and will be remembered as a beautiful part of his legacy. Family gatherings were his favorite occasions, and his laughter, wisdom, and gentle presence made every get-together brighter.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lori Marie Adair; parents, Leo Newton Adair and Vera Elizabeth Swafford Brown; brothers, Doryle Elmore, Wayne Adair, Eugene Adair, and Otis Adair; sisters, Patsy Embry and Shirlene Dickey; grandson, Joseph Dewayne Adair; great granddaughter, Ember Rose Adair; and niece, Darla Kozal.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Lakeview Pentecostal Church with burial at Fort Smith National Cemetery at 1:00 pm, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday at Roberts Memorial Chapel.
He is survived by his sons, Joseph Daniel Adair of Destin, Florida, Joshua Charles Adair (Carrie) of Lavaca, Arkansas, and Jeremiah Joe Adair (Whitney) of Booneville; daughter, Amanda Dawn Adair of Muldrow, Oklahoma; brothers, Jobe Adair, Newton Adair, and Charlie Adair, all of Booneville; sister, Ann Lou McAfee of Van Buren, Arkansas; grandchildren, Courtney, Ariel, Ronnie, Hunter, Caleb, Trevon, Addyson, Makala, Jadon, Lilly, Otis, Damion, Tanaya, Jaelyn, and Clairabay; great grandchildren, Bentley, Kolby, Asher, Josiah, and Raylee; host of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers: Jadon Adair, Hunter Castor, Ronnie Castor, Joseph Adair, Joshua Adair, and Jeremiah Adair
His legacy of love, joy, and service will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
