Darian Tisinger Obituary

Darian was born July 29, 1959 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia. A graduate of Caesar Rodney High School in Camden, Delaware, he continued his education at the University of Salisbury in Salisbury, Maryland, and graduated from the University in 1981 in the top 5th percentile of his class.
After graduation Darian worked briefly for the Peninsula General Hospital in Salisbury, and then began the work he truly loved... writing for the local newspaper The Daily Times. Beginning as sports editor, he worked with the newspaper until health issues forced him to retire in 2007. At the time of his retirement, he held the position of copy editor for the newspaper.
Darian was preceded in death by his wife Joan (March 2021) and his father Claude G. Tisinger, Jr. (December 2009). He is survived by his mother Mary Emma Tisinger; sisters, Tara Tisinger and Lisa Bogetti (Travis); his nephews, Eli, Ethan, and Anthony (Xiaowei); and other extended family members and friends.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11:00 A. M., at St. Stephen's Methodist Church in Delmar. COVID restrictions will be observed.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association in Darian's memory. Letters of condolence may be sent to www.HollowayFH.com.
