SEYBOLD, Darrieux "Dru" (Taimi) – of Davison, MI, age 83, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025 in Zanesville, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 PM Monday, May 12, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Entombment in St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 12-1 PM Monday, May 12, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Outreach East, in Dru's memory.
Dru was born in Warroad, MN on March 30, 1942, daughter of the late John and Frances (Ganyo) Taimi. A proud graduate of Bentley High School, Class of 1960, Dru built a remarkable career rooted in integrity and service. She retired from Genesee Bank in 1998 after 36 years of loyal and diligent service, during which she earned the admiration of colleagues and clients alike. On August 27, 1994, Dru married the love of her life, Kenneth Seybold. Their marriage was a beautiful partnership filled with love, laughter, and mutual support until Kenneth's passing on January 31, 2022. Dru was a woman of deep faith and community spirit. She was a devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and actively involved in local service organizations. Her leadership as past president of the Clio Rotary Club and her membership in the Lion's Club reflected her unwavering commitment to helping others. Creative and compassionate, Dru found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved crocheting delicate pieces, expressing herself through painting, and tending to her garden with care and pride. Her gentle spirit and artistic soul touched the lives of all who knew her. Dru will be remembered for her generous heart, her quiet grace, and the strength with which she lived her life. Her legacy will live on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
Dru is survived by her daughter, Alisha (Luther) Johnson-Boven; 6 step-children, Sherri (Dan Roesener) Stephens, Steven (Beverly) Seybold, Scott (Beth) Seybold, Stan Seybold, Susan (Ricky) Perrigin, and Sandy (Mike) Galarno; 21 grandchildren, Blake (Shannon) Copeland, Cecilia (Aharon) Morris, Brieanna (Andrew) Brockmon, Alyssa Boven, Teaghan Boven, Lauren Johnson, Luther Johnson III, Tyler (Jessica) and Garrett (Rachel) Stephens, Mariah and Hunter Seybold, Tim and Matt (Amber) Seybold, Shaunna and Kyle Seybold, Hope, Seth and Sawyer Perrigin, Ashton, Logan (Kylie) and Addison Galarno (Josh) Major; several great-grandchildren; sister, Dawn Taimi. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Frances Taimi; husband, Kenneth Seybold; 3 sons, Patrick Boven, Terrence Boven and Kerry Michael Boven; 2 siblings, Wayne "Buzz" Taimi and Danielle Devine; brother-in-law, James A. Devine.
