I´m saddened by the passing of Darryl. He was always solid. I appreciate his personality of helping and serving others. My life was impacted significantly by our paths crossing. May he rest in peace. May God continue to comfort and sustain the family. Sincerely, Marcus D. Brown.

Cousin,
I knew before ever meeting you for the first time at our Humphrey family reunion last month, that it would be a memorable time as family. I thank God that, though brief, He blessed us with this special occasion to come together as family and celebrate our ancestry and bond. RIP, cousin.

Darryl and I were classmates at Pine Tree. I was a third string player on our 9th grade football and basketball teams. Of course, Darryl was a starter and always a good friend. One day in physical science class, our teacher stepped out And the song "Guitarzan" by Ray Stephen´s came on the radio. Darryl stood up on the chair of the desk and began singing and dancing to the song. It was so funny and entertaining. He was fine young man as a teenager. I am sorry for the family´s loss. My dearest friend, big brother, Advisor, mentor and the best friend I have ever had. You shared your gifts your talents, your worldly experiences with so many. Im so thankful and blessed to have been on the receiving in of some of the best advice you can get. You encouraged me to push the button and to keep singing . My friend, I will keep singing! You always said, "ask me the question ", and Im so glad you asked. Lol. Your spirit, love for God and family was greatly admired. I have an hole in my heart but I know you are resting well in the arms of the Lord. My big brother, you will never be forgotten. R.I.P.
