Darryl Dennis Dupre passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at the age of 66. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on May 28th, 1959, to Evelyn Gutierrez Gullo and the late Eugene M Dupre’ Sr.
He is the father of Jeremy Anselmo, Andrea Elizabeth Chanson, and Elijah Dupre. He is also survived by his siblings, Melissa Dupre’ Pilgrim, twin-sister Cheryl Dupre’ Rabee, and the late Eugene M. Dupre Jr.; brothers-in-law Iyad Rabee and Jason Pilgrim; aunt and uncle Arthur Coach Gutierrez, and Susan Ivanisky Gutierrez; cousins Arthur, Geri, Gina, Michelle Gutierrez; nephews and nieces Robby Ballam, Ashley Ballam, Brett and Isabell McSpadden, Eric Fontenelle Jr., Brayden Blanchard, Rita Rabee, Marsel Rabee and the late Brandon Fontenelle.
He is a native of St. Bernard, Louisiana, and proud resident of Violet, Louisiana. Darryl graduated from St. Bernard High School. He began his professional career as a Machinist in the shipping industry; He was successful and well respected as a Diver in the State of Hawaii. Darryl was loving, compassionate, and most of all a very caring person, he enjoyed spending time outdoors in Hawaii.
Darryl was unique and irreplaceable, well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His spirit and tender nature will remain in the many memories of his cherished friends and family until they meet him again.
A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
