He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Irene (Hendrickson) Gibbs, and his brothers Roy, Bobby, Cecil, David, and Tommy Gibbs. His legacy continues through his beloved wife of 60 years, Sharon (Vaughn) Gibbs, his devoted daughter Tracey Bintemire (John), his cherished granddaughter Ashley Lemerond (Mark), his adored great-grandchild Emery, and his sister Martha Crowe.

Throughout his career as an Engineer in the construction industry, Darryl's sharp intellect and leadership skills saw him rise to the position of Vice President of the company. His colleagues revered him for his innovative thinking and his ability to solve complex problems. Darryl's professional achievements are a testament to his hard work and dedication.
