William Gibbs Obituary

William Harold Gibbs was born in Chester, PA to Andrew Gibbs and Rose Gibbs (Iannucci) in September 1942. He went to High school at Chester Senior High and graduated in 1961. William worked as an X-ray repair technician for several different companies. His last employer being G.E. Healthcare where he worked for 18 years before retiring. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. William was a jack of all trades and a master of them. He could fix almost anything. He enjoyed working on cars, attending car shows, cooking and drawing.
William is survived by his daughter, Dale Gibbs-Greer, son, Matthew Gibbs, brother, Robert Gibbs, grandchildren, Mitchell Greer, Logan Greer, Roland Dixon, Carly Dixon and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Anne Gibbs, mother, Rose Gibbs, father, Andrew Gibbs and brother, Frank Gibbs.
Funeral service will be held at Norwood United Methodist Church, 315 Chester Pike, Norwood, Pa 19074, on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 10am with Pastor Scott Dorn officiating. Burial will be private.
