Daryl Avon Frame
(1937-2025)
Daryl A. Frame, 88, of West Jordan, Utah, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, with his beloved wife, Barbara, by his side.
Born on August 20, 1937, in Boise, Idaho, Daryl was adopted by David Avon Frame and Mary Agnes Gillespie Frame, who raised him in a loving and happy home. After graduating from Granite High School in 1956, a chance encounter in an elevator at J.C. Penney's led him to the love of his life, Barbara. They always joked about that meeting, saying it was the start of their journey together-a life with its share of ups and downs, much like an elevator ride. Their courtship was briefly paused when Daryl was called to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the British Isles.
When he returned, the two were married, and their incredible life together began. They had four children. Daryl was a man of many talents and passions. He worked with the Coroner's Office, then served in the Air Force Reserves and Air National Guard. Following that, he began his career at the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office and also served the community as a volunteer with the Salt Lake County and West Jordan Fire Departments. He followed his passion for flying and search and rescue while serving in the Civil Air Patrol before discovering his true calling in the tech industry, where he found success and fulfillment at Ikano/Sisna for many years before retiring.
Daryl was a proud and devoted family man. He cherished every moment with his family, often sharing stories of his life and accomplishments. He was a constant source of support for his children and grandchildren, taking pride in everything they did. In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring old photos and was deeply passionate about family history, a pursuit he and Barbara shared as FamilySearch missionaries.
Daryl is lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Barbara Sudweeks Frame; his children, Jeff Frame, Barbara Ann Kimball (Bill), Daryl Jay Frame (Stacey), and Ian Frame (Tracie); his grandchildren, Ryan, Scot, Travis, Josh, Justin, Cole, Sara, Natalie, and Jacob; and his nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Inspiration Hospice for the compassionate care and dignity they showed Daryl in his final days.
