Dave G Konkel

David "Dave" G. Konkel, 77 of Menominee passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 9, 1948, to the late Richard and Lucille (Wiese) Konkel in Menominee. Dave proudly served his country during the Vietnam War, earning the Commendation Medal for Heroism. On July 21, 1973, Dave married Victoria Gardiner in Menominee; she preceded him in death on November 30, 2021. He worked for Anchor Coupling for 25 years, retiring in 2011. Dave was a family man who loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He also enjoyed time outdoors hunting and fishing.
Dave is survived by his sons: David Konkel Jr., Christopher Konkel both of Menominee, and Richard Konkel of Marinette; daughters, Nichole Konkel of Marinette, Amy Konkel of Oconto, and Ashley Konkel of Menominee; brother, Clyde (Donna) Konkel of Stephenson; grandchildren: Tristan, Hallie (James), Darius, Peyton, Travis Jr, Landen, Dante, Tenajah, Darrion, Zeana, Kayle, Evan, Mason, Adelynn, and Milliana; ten great grandchildren; and niece and nephew, Sheila and Bill. In addition to his parents, and wife, Victoria, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dick.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st from 1-3pm at Thielen Funeral Home. A Funeral Service and Military Honors will be held at 3pm.
